Natural dye and other slow things

How slow is slow fashion?

Well in this case it is very slow. Sometimes it can take a couple of years for garment to form shape. From prototype to testing the garment and examine the fit it can be a small journey. This is a good thing! For that reason all our garments are carefully considered. Every new garment we design is worn by real women and examined for comfort, durability and of course style! This takes time. Oh and what else takes time is the beautiful one of a kind designs we create using natural dyes and botanicals. In our naturally dyed collection no garment is quite like the other. It takes several dye processes and eco printing techniques to get to the final cloth. It also took years to create a methodology that works for the fiber and is good for the environment. No toxic waste is created in any of the dye processes as we only use natural dye material such as walnut extract, eucalyptus leaves, avocado skin etc.

Hand dyed Linen with Leaves

I am currently working on an eco printed Linen collection. Each piece will be one of a kind as each fabric is truly unique. I have mainly been using eucalyptus leaves and olive leaves for this collection. A piece of Greece and of me on the cloth…

The first pieces available will be reversible belts, on the one side with an eco leaves print and on the other side a solid black, this makes it perfect as you can have two belts in one. A great addition to a capsule wardobe!
